Transit Development Plan Meeting

May 18, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free
Link Lane, a service of the Lane Council of Governments (LCOG), is hosting the second Transit Development Plan meeting at noon on May 18, 2023 to share the results of the first round of outreach and present options to improve transit in our rural areas.
This plan is funded through a Transportation Growth Management grant from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT).

Many residents in rural Lane County lack transit options to get to work, school, the grocery store, the doctor’s office, and other key destinations.

Transit is also a key component of our growing tourism economy, connecting visitors and residents to recreation opportunities throughout Lane County.

The Link Lane Transit Development Plan will establish a framework to:

Provide safe, affordable and reliable travel options that are not dependent upon owning a personal vehicle for all residents of and visitors to Lane County.

Define Link Lane’s role as a public transportation service provider in Lane County and identify implementation strategies and funding sources to support and expand Link Lane services.

Contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through enhanced and expanded public transportation services.

For more about this project, please visit the Transit Development Plan page.

McKenzie Community Partnership will be attending this event. If you can’t attend or you’d like us to share your ideas or concerns, please submit them to us here.
